Tournament Rules & Policies

Format & Scoring

4-person scramble, shotgun start. Men play the Blue tees, women play the White tees. Gross score, no handicap. Maximum score per hole is double bogey. USGA Rules of Golf apply, except where modified by these tournament rules. Any rules questions or disputes will be resolved by the Tournament Committee, whose decision is final.

Additional Rules

• No minimum number of drives required per player — use whichever tee shot the team prefers on every hole.
• Once the team selects a shot, all four players play from within one club-length of that spot, no closer to the hole. If the selected shot is in the rough, all four play from the rough.
• The player whose shot was selected may hit a practice shot from the new spot, but it cannot be used as the team's ball.
• Lost ball, out of bounds, or unplayable in a hazard: no penalty stroke. Drop at the nearest playable spot and continue.
• If a team has only 3 players, one player hits two shots per hole in place of the missing player.
• Distance-measuring devices (rangefinders/GPS) are permitted.
• Ties broken by scorecard countback, starting from the hole with the highest stroke index (hardest hole) and working backward.
• Cart policy (path-only, etc.) is set by Theodore Wirth and will be posted/announced day-of.

Weather Policy

This is a rain or shine event. Tickets and sponsorships are non-refundable. In the event of lightning, play will be suspended and golfers directed to shelter until conditions clear. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to adjust the format as needed to complete the event safely.

Prizes

Top 3 teams take home in-kind prizes, generously donated by local businesses and sponsors. Specific prizes will be announced closer to the event. Plus on-course contests for Long Drive and Closest to the Pin.

Putting Contest

Warm up before the shotgun start with our putting contest, 8:30–9:30 AM. Sink your putt from the starting distance to advance, one player standing at the end wins. Presented by Podiumwear.

Day-of Add-Ons — $20 each, limit one per person

• Mulligan — Replay any one shot during your round.
• Putting String — Any putt that lands within the string's length of the hole is automatically good, no need to putt out.
• Tee-Box Bonus — Men move up from the Blue tees to the Combo tees for their drive. Women take a second mulligan instead.
